Following one question into different applications
According to TPES's official development record, the system began with personality research and expanded into education, learning, careers, and organizations before moving into digital tools and AI support. Each stage emphasizes different tools and contexts, but the core question remains connected: how can we understand an individual's differences and turn that understanding into a next step in life and work? The following four stages organize this development.
Collaboration and systematization after 2013
TPES records that Miko Wang began collaborating with Chang Chi-Ming of Taiwan's Ying Teng information consulting company in 2013, advancing the systematization of assessment, analysis, and application methods. This work organized personality information into readable, discussable, and usable content, gradually connecting capability models, role requirements, and development suggestions to support talent discussions in businesses, schools, and professional services.
From reading a report to action and feedback
After learning about their traits, people still face the question of what to do next. The development direction of TPES Coach and AI Agent is to bring personality, capabilities, and individual context into continuing conversation: clarify the current issue, discuss action, then review experience and adjust. The content, versions, and appropriate uses of formal services should still be checked against each platform's product information.
History explains the origins; experience makes applications concrete
Development history records how research, publishing, and product applications took shape. Measurement quality and application outcomes require their own data and methodological explanations. Read this history alongside original works, official system descriptions, and actual service information to understand the origins of today's knowledge and consider how you want to use it.
- 1991–1997
Forming a shared language for personality
Miko Wang organized personality-related material and everyday situations, gradually developing Personality 14. This stage established fourteen archetypes and six primary domains, helping readers move from recognizable behavior toward what people value and how different needs influence responses.
- 1997–2013
Connecting personality understanding with potential and development
The personality model entered education, learning, and career exploration, also drawing on multiple-intelligence perspectives to recognize different possibilities for capability. This stage brought together how a person operates and where they might contribute, gradually connecting character, potential, learning, and development.
- 2013–2024
Moving toward the TPES talent empowerment system
Collaboration advanced systematization and digitization, organizing personality structure, talent capabilities, analysis, and development suggestions into tools for ongoing use. Applications extended to talent selection and review, careers, teams, leadership, and education, linking the system to real roles and tasks.
- 2024–2026
Extending into TPES Coach and AI Agent
Personality and development information moved further into conversations and workflows, supporting users in clarifying situations, discussing actions, and maintaining feedback.
